Senior Spotlight: STAR Student Noah DeLaughter of Clinton, MS
Noah is a student that excels in all areas of campus life here at Central Hinds Academy. Noah's proudest moment was being awarded the 2025 STAR Student Award. It is no surprise that Noah was also named a Nation Merit Semi-Finalist and was voted by the student body as Most Likely to Succeed. He is currently serving his class as a student government representative. He has gained membership in all of our honor societies: National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. Noah is a student athlete as well playing catcher and second base on the cougar baseball team. One of the most fun memories he has from his time here is winning in the first round of playoffs for baseball his junior year. He mentions Coach Etheridge as a staff member that has greatly impacted his time at CHA. He says " (he) not only taught me dual credit government where I learned everyone has different opinions but he also coached me in baseball". Noah's advice for future cougars is "Don't wish for what's next until you fully embrace what you already have.". Noah will attend The University of Southern Mississippi in the fall where he has received scholarships to the Honors College, for his ACT, and as a National Merit Semi Finalist. He plans to major in legal studies/Pre-Law. We wish Noah good luck in his future endeavors and can't wait to see what he accomplishes after he leaves Central Hinds. SMTTT!

Brooke is also a student athlete playing on the #1 girls doubles tennis team for the cougars. And one of her proudest moments at CHA was winning South State with her tennis team. Brooke has been able to develop her athletic talents enough while in high school to be able to be a part of the tennis team at Hinds Community College next year after graduation. She will be starting her college career with both Foundation and ACT scholarships under her belt. We want to wish Brooke good luck in all of her future endeavors and can't wait to see what she accomplishes after she leaves Central Hinds. Go Eagles!
