Senior Spotlight: Lyndi Polk of Edwards, MS
"Always give your best at everything you do." That is the advice Lyndi would like to give to future generations of cougars at Central Hinds Academy. Lyndi has certainly done that as she is part of each of the honor societies at CHA: Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. She also excels on the court as a right side player for our lady cougar volleyball team. This brings up what Lyndi calls one of the most fun memories of her time at Central Hinds Academy which is when the volleyball team went to playoffs at Mississippi College. Once she graduates, Lyndi plans to go to basic training for the Army National Guard. We want to wish Lyndi good luck in her future endeavors and can't wait to see what she accomplishes once she leaves Central Hinds. Once a cougar, always a cougar.

Her volleyball coach Mia Hague has "really impacted her time at Central Hinds because she gave me the chance to play the sport I loved and she always knew how to cheer me up no matter what. She pushed me to be a better player and to be a better person in general". Her proudest moments were being a part of CHA's first volleyball team and winning the school's first ever playoff game at Mississippi College. Leah Marie is also a student government representative for her class and excels in the classroom as a member of the Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. As far as fun memories go, she mentions being able to paint the road and do all of the last senior activities with her sister London. "Do everything. Don't have regrets." is the advice Leah Marie leaves for future cougars. After graduation Leah Marie plans to attend Mississippi College on a Speed Scholarship where she plans to major in forensics. We wish Leah Marie good luck in her future endeavors and can't wait to see what she accomplishes after she leaves Central Hinds. Go Choctaws!
